Which patch do you need?
A white head with fluid you can see takes a plain hydrocolloid patch. A sore lump with nothing on the surface takes a microneedle one.

Yes, on a surface whitehead. Much less on a deep blind spot, and nothing at all on a blackhead.

Patch the hot spot before it turns into a blister. If it's already blistered, don't pop it — cover it and keep walking.

Wound-dressing gel on a roll you cut yourself. Clean and dry the skin, cut bigger than the problem, round the corners.
